This year I think I can truly say that I had a blessed Easter. My parents gave me the most adorable little basket and we had an Easter egg hunt. And the bubble cake cupcakes we're just the icing on top! Jesus really did bless me with a great Easter this year.

Spring Fashion 2k14

Hey guys, today I'm back with an all new blog post, and it was definitely one of my favorites to make, a spring essentials video! I love spring time, I love all the seasons for different reasons, but over all, spring is probably my favorite. Its not too hot, not too warm, you can finally break out your adorable colorful statement necklaces, pastels and dresses (yes!) and on top on that lacrosse season, no wonder I love it so much!

Just as a disclaimer: I'm not writing this off of what will trend this season, I'm writing it about what I feel I need in the spring based off of my style.

Skip into Spring

The sun is finally coming out here in Virginia and the flowers are finally blooming! Winter here has definitely been a little too long and dreadful for me! The snow here has been crazy! No snow one day, 7 inches the next! But now, with lacrosse really starting up and the weather getting warmer, I finally feel like it's spring. With that said, I went on YouTube and saw the cutest little tag on XCgal98's (www.thedariadiaries.blogspot.com) YouTube. It's the "Skip into Spring" tag. I haven't started making videos yet, so I decided, "Why not just type what you would say?!" So, that's actually what I'm doing!

 

 

Question 1

What is your dream spring break va-cay/ vacation?

I'd really like to go to Copenhagen, Denmark. I did a report on it in geography and fell in love with the pictures I found and the things you can do there! If I wasn't able to go there, I'd want to go to Reykjavik, Iceland. I know it sounds crazy, but I'd love to see the northern light there and explore volcanoes, water glaciers, and other parts of Iceland's nature.

 

 

 

Question 2

What store has the best spring clothing?

I am personally in LOVE with anything Lilly Pulitzer in the spring time! In the spring I like to wear lots of pastels and happy prints. Lilly clothing is a mix of that so of course, It's a most have for me!

 

 

Question 3

Favorite Spring Drink?

The Starbucks secret menu is my all time favorite! But, when the Cotton Candy Frappes came into my life, I was hooked! I love the raspberry flavoring! Besides the typical white girl drink, I enjoy the Sonic Ocean Water Slush in the spring and summer time!

 

Question 4

Sperry's or Jack Rogers?

I personally see Jack Rogers as more of a summer time shoe so, I wear my Sperry's a lot more in the spring and the fall.

 

 

Question 5

What is your go-to springtime lip product?

I'm pretty plain Jane when it comes to lip products. But, when I fell like my lips are looking a little bare, I LOVE my Bare Minerals Natural Lip Gloss in Iced Coffee.

 

Question 6

What song/soundtrack best describes spring?

I'm loving The Sound of Sunshine by Michael Franti & Spearhead. My friend Madelyn got me hooked on it! It's just such a summertime-y song that makes you feel all happy inside! 

 

Question 7

Floral Prints or Pastels?

Pastels; I love the look of them. I wear floral ALL the time but to me, pastels go with anything and really brighten things up.

 

Question 8

What's your favorite type of flower?

Now, I know this is going to make me sound quite dumb, but I really only know the names of your basic flowers: Roses, Sunflowers, Daisies, and Lillies. I'm not much of a flower person and don't think I will be anytime soon! Sure, their gorgeous and I love looking at them, but that doesn't mean I have to have a favorite or know names... right?

Are you a 'spring cleaner?'

Honesty, I'm not an any type of cleaner. Just because it's spring doesn't mean I have to have a big clean up date for my room. If you just keep it somewhat clean and organized then you don't have to worry about it.

 

Question 10

Favorite Spring Activity?

Those of you who know me would know that I love, love, love lacrosse, kayaking, and canoeing! They are by far my favorite spring activities and well, activities in general!
